You sent your battle fleet to stand defense in the galaxy, and it was right next to me... You even saw my fleet in the area, how could you not be afraid that your fleet would be eaten???

The attacks were to capture your battle fleet that you sent back to your planet. And for some reason it disappeared from the galaxy. So I had to attack continuously to catch it before you flew it away.
Also, all those idle attacks didn't really hurt you.
